(D,W) Docents to lead tours of 19th century house museum in downtown Greensboro. Tours are given Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays from 2 to 5 p.m. Docents must be able to climb stairs in the mansion. Training provided. Minimum age 16.

Should want to learn and share historical information about Greensboro and enjoy working with young people. Must give at least four tours a month through June on Tuesday through Friday mornings. (F) Project Linus- Guilford County needs volunteers to make new, handmade blankets and afghans for children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or are otherwise in need of comfort, security, and warmth. Blankets may be crocheted, knitted, fleece no-sew, or quilted. Volunteer may choose to join group as year-round volunteer or make a one-time donation or commitment to help with a special event. Donations of yarn, fleece, or other materials accepted. This is a 100% volunteer organization. Quarterly general meetings. Special events benefiting community agencies that help children.
