Duties include assisting with errands and group events, visiting residents, reading and participating in arts and crafts activities, driving for group events, and ensuring that the elderly are being treated properly. Care Partner volunteers. Duties include staying with impaired adults a few hours each week to give caretakers some free time, assist caregivers with tasks and errands, and provide support and socialization. Volunteers may work individually or in teams of up five people.

(F) Help seniors with arts & crafts activities. All materials provided. Minimum age 18.
(F) Bring pets to visit residents. Prefer volunteers to bring friendly dogs to visit seniors. Animals vaccinations must be up to date and record provided to Activities Director. Visits should last 25 to 30 minutes.
(F) Lead Sunday afternoon Bible study, devotions, or a hymn sing-a-long with nursing home residents. These activities last approximately 30 minutes. Friends Homes will provide materials as needed.

Volunteers to play the piano for seniors, preferably hymns and older tunes. 30-60 minute sets. Training provided. Minimum age 14 - requires adult supervision.
Volunteers to bring pets to visit residents. Pets must be friendly, tame, well-groomed, and up to date on all shots. Pets will be screened by staff beforehand. Training provided. Minimum age 16.
Volunteers to call bingo Monday evenings from 7-8 p.m. and Friday afternoons from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Set up and clean up supplies. Training provided. Minimum age 14 - must volunteer with an adult.
Volunteers to sort and deliver mail to residents. Volunteer will also visit with residents. Mail is delivered after 3:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Requires commitment of 1-3 days a week, 30-60 minutes each time. Training provided. Minimum age 18.
Volunteers to deliver juice and water to approximately 30 residents. Process takes one hour. Volunteers will also have an opportunity to visit with residents. Training provided. Minimum age 18.
Volunteers to lead Bible study and song service on Sunday afternoons one to five times a month, depending on volunteer's schedule. Training provided. Minimum age 25.
Provide nail care for residents by cleaning, applying lotion, and polishing nails. Good opportunity to visit with seniors.
Display activity calendars in approximately 60 residents' rooms the first day of each month. Takes about 45 minutes. Good opportunity to visit with seniors.
