Camp Weaver needs volunteers to help with specialty summer camps for children age 5-15. Camps run from June 28-August 6. Each lasts 1-2 weeks. Some themes include karate, soccer, mountain biking, gymnastics, and high ropes. Camp instructors must have experience in the area they lead. Project Linus - Guilford County needs volunteers to make new, handmade blankets and afghans for children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or are otherwise in need of comfort, security, and warmth. Blankets may be crocheted, knitted, fleece no-sew, or quilted. Volunteer may choose to join group as year-round volunteer or make a one-time donation or commitment to help with a special event. Volunteers will glue drain markers on the concrete covers of storm drains and on curbsides using a caulk gun.
