The Amy Atkinson Achievement Award
We were pleased to present the Atkinson Family, who raised more than $7,315 for After Gateway, with the second annual Amy Atkinson Achievement Award.

Amy Atkinson, the top fundraiser from the 2002 race, had been one the race's biggest supporters over the years, raising a total of more than $50,000 for both Gateway PTA and After Gateway. Her sudden passing over the Christmas holiday in 2002 deeply sadened all who knew her. Started in 2003 as a way to remember her impact on all of us, we began honoring the top individual fundraiser with the Amy Atkinson Achievement Award. The winner is presented with a small award during our post-race ceremony, and a plaque hangs at our officer recognizing each year's winner. Special thanks to the Greensboro Jaycees who provide financial support for the award.

Other Top Individual Fundraisers:
