(D, W) Blandwood Mansion needs docents to lead tours of 19th century house museum in downtown Greensboro. Tours are given Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays from 2 to 5 p.m. Docents must be able to climb stairs in the mansion. Training provided. Minimum age 16.

Greensboro Historical Museum needs:

(D) Docents to guide groups of visitors through the museum, interpret exhibits, and protect museum artifacts. Should want to learn and share historical information about Greensboro and enjoy working with young people. Must give at least four tours a month through June on Tuesday through Friday mornings. Training sessions held in September. Minimum age 14.

Volunteers should be interested in working with people of all ages, especially children, and have a strong voice. Must be able to lift and carry trunk and provide own transportation. (F) Guilford Native American Association needs a retail sales asistant at the Pocosin American Indian store located at 230 S. Elm Street, next to Triad Stage. Greet customers and provide customer service, assist with inventory management, help with pricing, displays, special events, and marketing. Help build e-commerce sales and maintain agency website and learn the history and culture of American Indians. Training provided. Interview required.
