(F) City of Greensboro needs volunteers to help in the Drain Marker Program to keep streams and lakes clean. Volunteers will glue drain markers on the concrete covers of storm drains and on curbsides using a caulk gun. Must be comfortable working outdoors in all kinds of weather, have own transportation, and sign liability form. Good project for groups. One volunteer in each group must be an adult. Provide evening meals or weekend brunches to resident families and single adults at Partnership Village.Offer special events such as aHalloween party or outings to the zoo, water park, or childrens museum. Good opportunity for groups to offer a meal and activities to allow a parents night out.

Prepare and serve weekday and weekend morning meals to guests at Potter's House Community Kitchen. May serve up to 350 guests.

(F) Mental Health Association in Greensboro needs volunteers wishing to befriend an adult receiving mental and emotional health services. Volunteers who choose one-on-one friendships must be at least 18 and make a minimum commitment of four hours a month for a year. Volunteers who choose to be matched with group residents must make a commitment of two hours week for one semester.

Oakhurst Rest Home needs the following volunteers. Training provided for all duties. Minimum age 18 except where indicated.

(D, W) Help with craft projects. Thursdays at 11 a.m. and Saturdays at 3 p.m.
