In this new offering, we help your organization discover new strategies for successful partnering with low-income communities. This curriculum, developed and presented nationally by the Points of Light Foundation and the Volunteer Center National Network, was based primarily through learnings and expereniences with partnerships that are happening right here in Greensboro! Come learn what Greensboro is helping to teach the rest of the country!

In our Basics of Volunteer Management workshop, we help you get the most out of your volunteer program, covering all the nuts and bolts needed by new professionals to the field of volunteer management, those setting up volunteer programs for the times, or just those that want a refresher course. This is our most popular course and almost always gets filled quickly!!
Topics covered include:
- Understanding the importance of matching organizations needs with volunteers abilities and motivations
- Designing compelling volunteer position descriptions
- Creating focused recruitment messages
- Discovering how to effectively supervise volunteers
- Brainstorming ways to give volunteers meaningful recognition
